Luxury self catering accommodation in the heart of the Normandy countryside - ideal for families and groups

Boudet is a beautifully restored and renovated rural property in Southern Normandy made up of three buildings, The Farmhouse (with 5 bedrooms), The Barn (with four bedrooms) and The Cider Press (a charming studio).  Set in the idyllic Normandie-Maine Regional Natural Park – 600 acres of protected forest and bocage - this is a perfect place to escape for a peaceful relaxing holiday surrounded by nature yet within an easy drive of Normandy's historic sites, Mont St Michel and the coast.

The accommodation at Boudet sleeps 20 and is set around a central grass courtyard which houses an outdoor seating area and The Bakehouse, a store for the communal bikes and BBQs with a very large back garden with shrubs, wild areas and a pond and a productive apple orchard to the front (with an area for tennis, football etc).

There is plentiful parking in the parking area set out of site of the property in the garden above.

Boudet is a great base to explore Normandy. We are moments from the Flers-Domfront veloroute or Voie Verte (a disused railway line cycle track) which forms part of an extensive network - ideal for both sort and long rides or walks. This offers an excellent and safe opportunity to get about and explore the area - you can even cycle to Mont St Michel.

Our nearest village is Barenton which has a supermarket, post office, pharmacy, bank, bakers and bars whilst Mortain and Domfront are larger towns with all facilities within a 20 minute drive as is the market town of St Hilaire.  We also have some excellent restaurants, grills and creperies close by.

Our nearest swimming pool is at Mortain (15 min drive) whilst horse riding is available near Barenton and you can play golf at Clecy, Granville, Dol de Bretagne and Bagnoles de L’Ornes.

Mount St Michel is about 50 minutes from Boudet whilst our favourite beach, Carolles is 70 km away and the charming fishing town, Cancale is 107 km from the property. We would also recommended beaches at Deauville, Houlgate and Trouville-sur-Mer whilst Base de Loisirs La Ferte Mace is a 65 hectare leisure base centred around La Ferte Mace large lake which is a great alternative to a beach. It has lifeguards in July and August, a play area, volley ball, peddocs, mini golf etc.
